The Pathobiology Department offers graduate work leading to Master's Degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Pathobiology. In addition, the Department serves as the coordinator for the interdepartmental graduate program in Toxicology, and a joint program leading to the Ph.D.-M.D. Degree.
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for a professional career in research and teaching in pathobiological science, pathology and pathology-related fields. Emphasis is on the basic principles and the pathogenesis of disease processes. Graduates will be able to perform their own research as well as to teach in medical schools on the principles, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of human diseases.
