Abstract: The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of the rhizomes of Curcuma rhabdota Sirirugsa & M.F. Newman was analyzed by GC-MS. Twenty two components, corresponding to 97.5%, were identified. The three major components were germacrone (24.36%), butanoic acid, butyl ester (14.19%) and butanoic acid-1-methylpropyl ester (8.80%).
